Miles of fast, flat rural roads and coastal shoreline are the ideal location for hosting sporting events of all sorts. In 2021, MOC merged with a local running club and acquired several popular annual events.

Although competitive by design, these events are known to be low-key, friendly and supportive. This makes them ideal for both the novice and experienced athlete. Serious competitors will be challenged and first-timers will be cheered.

Join an outdoor fitness class that “fits” your schedule.

Supplement your gym membership! Sign up with the MOC to participate in one of our “pay as you go” group exercise classes. Our experienced instructors will share their weekly class schedule with our listed registrants, including any weather-related changes. You show up & pay for only the sessions you attend.

The MOC partners with area experts to offer Boating Safety classes and Firearm Safety. These courses will meet your needs whether you’re looking to acquire state certification in one of these areas or just interested in growing your knowledge.

This collection of short stories is set in Mobjack Virginia, a fictionalized community on the Chesapeake Bay. The setting comes alive with reflective illustrations of natural and historic details and celebrates the richness of small-town life by delving into dynamics invisible to a casual visitor.
