Williams Wharf Landing
Williams Wharf Landing was an historic steamboat landing. It is managed by Mathews Land Conservancy & is open to the public. Upgrade plan: site will include an information kiosk.
Directions: Follow Rte 14, New Point Comfort Highway, south from Mathews and turn right on Rte 614 (Williams Wharf Road) and follow until roadway ends. Plenty of parking.

Nearby
Not far from this landing is the old tide mill which was used to grind corn and grain into flour. Records show that it ground grain for Washington’s army in 1781 during the Battle or Yorktown.
Friends of Mathews Blueways Trail
The Middle Peninsula Master Naturalists created a stewardship program to maintain the Mathews Blueways Trail. Each location is regularly checked by a member of the group and are able to report and/ or resolve any site issues.
