Mathews Marathon 2024

The Mathews Outdoor Club is seeking original artwork for our 2024 marathon event.

Part of our race course goes to 3 beaches and we’ve nicknamed it the Trident. We would like to see artist’s rendering of a Clam holding a Trident spear. If you would like to submit artwork for consideration:

• Contest is open to all ages; participants do not need to be from Mathews County
• One entry per person
• Artwork should be on a background that we can scan to digitize. (Canvas, Watercolor Paper etc), No 3-D art.
• Artwork should be no larger than– 12”x16”
• Do not add text, such as “Mathews Marathon 2024” – the image will be used on a sweatshirt and on a medal, the vendors will add text to the final product.
• Deadline– Art work should be submitted to The Bay School Community Arts Center no later than 3pm, April 10, 2024.
• Winner and unselected Artists will be notified on April 15, 2024.
• The selected artist will receive sweatshirt & medal with their artwork featured.
• Announcement will be via a Blog Post & shared on Social Media
• Unselected art can be picked up at the Bay School between Mon, April 15th and Sat, April 20th. Winning artwork will be returned at a later date.
• By entering this contest you agree that your art will be used for promotional purposes
